Currently ,More and more Nylon Tubing is replaced and employed as fuel line against rubber hoses and metal pipe in automotive applications. Nylon tube has comparatively smoother and cleaner internal surface and its installation is quick and easy. It is capable of working at high temperature and pressure in trucks and cars. It is fully resistant to automotive fuels like petrol and diesel. All these qualities make Nylon Tube favorable for many OEMs.

Nylon-6, Nylon-12 and Nylon-11 are mainly preferred to manufacture Nylon Tubes. Some manufacturers also use Nylon6-10 and some even use Nylon 6-12. Few manufacturers have started using Nylon12-12 to make tubes to be used as fuel lines. Different applications require different types of Nylons. Nylon 12 and Nylon 11 are more flexible than other nylons. However, at the same time, tubes made from nylon12 and nylon11 have less pressure withstanding capability.

Nylon tube is widely used in industries for various applications. Apart from as fuel lines, nylon tubing is used for oil circulation in lubrication and hydraulic system. Similarly, it is the first choice in pneumatic system. It is equally common in automotive industryas fuel lines in particularly in cars, trucks and trailers.

Advantages of Nylon Tubing as automotive fuel line are many and some important are;

• It has excellent physical properties and it has high bursting pressure and so can withstand high working pressure.
• It can easily resist vibration that come during vehicle movement and this is because of having good flexibility.
• Surroundings of engine may experience elevated temperature but it is capable of withstanding high temperature.

Characteristics:

Excellent flexibility, bending radius is small.           

Non-toxic, smelless.

Hardness is constant, service life is long.

Applications:

Used for Industry robots and pneumatic tools. Tranport water and other liquid, it works at temprature from -40℃ to 90℃.
